Questions
Which photo details can I include?
Seven details: camera, lens, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focal length, and the date the photo was taken. The Full template uses all of them; in Custom you can add each one anywhere in your own caption. A detail is filled in when it is stored in your photo, which depends on the camera and how the photo was exported.
Why are my EXIF settings missing?
The file may not contain the required metadata. Check your photo editor's export settings and, where possible, export a copy with camera metadata included.
The tool reads information already stored in the image; it cannot reconstruct missing camera settings.
Can I use a custom caption?
Yes. Choose a template or customize the caption using the supported placeholders. Add your own description around the camera settings to prepare text for Instagram, a photography blog, or another platform.
Is my custom caption saved?
Yes, in this browser, while "Remember my caption on this device" is checked. Next time the tool opens with your caption ready.
